AMBIGUITY SERIES | liminal horror | 3D illustration


In the realm of arcane digital arts, these eldritch illustrations have come to be
through the arcane conjurations of Autodesk Maya and its shadowy enabler, Arnold.
For many, this dread program, shrouded in the veils of complexity, serves as a vessel for the creation of visions both intricate and dreadfully lifelike, weaving images and sequences that peer into the very fabric of reality itself.


The language of imagery, here woven, must be distilled, akin to the essence of ancient alchemical elixirs. A language reduced, stripped to its primordial essence, focusing only on the uttermost quintessence of visual discourse.
The pictures speak through symbols and shadows, wielding contrasts like sigils, to commune with the minds of viewers and stir dormant associations from the abyss.


Within these enigmatic renderings, a grayscale symphony unfurls its spectral tendrils. Like apparitions traversing the liminal veil, these images echo the spectral cadence of the Thesis itself. 
These grayscale realms are neither purely ebony nor pristine ivory; they dwell in the penumbra between, mirrors reflecting the philosophical wrestle with multiplicity and the kaleidoscope of divergent thoughts.


The very understanding of ambiguity exists upon 
an arcane spectrum betwixt
lucidity,
ambiguity,
and void.


At times, these phantasmal arrangements draw nigh to one end of the arcane continuum, leaving but meager room for conjecture. Yet, in other instances, their abstraction swells, expanding to dangerous depths where myriad interpretations may fester.
Conspicuous visualizations, abstract geometries, opulent optical deceptions, or ever-shifting Möbius forms – banalities too feeble to withstand the scrutiny of these arcane explorations.


Such predictable paths, fraught with cliché, must be left untrodden,
lest the very essence and potency of the work be obliterated in the abyss of triteness.
